Separated from my iPhone
Yesterday I left my iPhone behind at the desk of the T-Mobile shop in Eindhoven. It’s camera and SIM card holder are stuck and the warranty period almost ran out so I HAD TO bring it in! The first day without my iPhone went surprisingly well. MobileMe helps a bit and the idea that I can shoot pic’s again makes it bearable. But on the other hand I realize that my iPhone is an important part of my life. I miss it!
It will take at least two weeks before I get it back. I think I will manage. But help and warm words are welcome. Nice thing is that you can follow the repair status on the T-Mobile site. I’ll keep you updated!

As Apple afficionado numero uno, I sadly have to admit that I am not a big fan of the iPhone. The ultrahype created around this shameless piece of moneysucking technology is, however, priceless. When looked at from a marketing point of view, that is. That being said, I have a really hard time understanding why people WANT to depend on Steve’s brick so much. As much as I hate to admit it, but in my humble opinion there are far, far better alternatives for the iPhone, if you want to extend your mobile digital life.
Sorry Dub, it is time to get off that cloud and land safely on earth again.
Name one better alternative for my white piece of communication. I am innovative by nature and this phone is the best technical thing that happened to me since Greenpoint
If you had returned your beloved boy toy before you left for France, it would have been ready, fixed or replaced by now…
Don’t want to cause any more pain than you’re experiencing already, so: good luck, all the best, etc etc.
It would be a disaster for me also. So I recognize your feelings of deep sorrow. Your phone gives you an entrance to the world, and now you have to miss that. Saying goodbye to an important and beloved friend is always difficult. Gladly it’s only for two weeks. Keep up the good spirit and while you do that you’re big friend will return. Good luck with the silence in your life now. You will be in our minds while you’re waiting.. The moment you can say welcome back big friend, will be a wonderful one!
Last status: it’s officially in repair! Would be better and more reassuring if T-Mobile would state who takes care of it now?

rent a phone!
Somewhere in the Valley, 3.oo am:
“Ring!”
“Hello?”
“Steve is that you?”
“Yeah. Wazzup baby?”
“Sorry to bother you at this time, but I got a BIG problem, know what I mean?”
“Err.. sort of. Lost?”
“No, no. Worse. There is this, err, thing growing on me lately. Horrible!”
“A thing?”
“A thing!”
“Describe thing, iPhone…”
“Well, it’s a ginormous lump of meat with dog’s breath, sweaty paws and some really really waxy stuff in his ears. Oh, and hairs too! In his ears, that is…”
“Does it make noise?”
“Oh, you won’t believe the noise it makes. It goes like oh and ah and hissing and blabbering and..”
“Yeah yeah I got the message. I will take care of it.”
“When?”
“Soon my friend”
“How?”
“Camera shutdown protocol”
“Blimey, sounds good. Hurry, Steve!”
“Roger and Wilco…”
Briljant! Helemaal dubbel gelegen. Melanie ook trouwens. Schrijf ff wat scripts voor nieuwe ‘Hi, I’m a mac’-filmpjes. Moet jou zeker lukken.
